The Norwegian Forest Cat Breed Club (NFCBC) is an organization for all who are interested in the Norwegian Forest Cat. We welcome anyone who wants to know more about the breed, is looking for advice about caring for a NFC, wants to be a responsible breeder of NFCs, is willing to share their knowledge and experience, or wants a place to share pictures and stories about the NFC. NFCBC is a non-affiliated organization.

NFCBC was founded by a group of Norwegian Forest Cat admirers. Many, although not all, of us are breeders with varied backgrounds and differing years of experience. What we all have in common is a love for the breed and a desire to encourage and support others who share our passion.

We believe:

Each member has something valuable to contribute.

All members should have a voice in the direction of the Norwegian Forest Cat Breed Club. 

Our mission:

Encourage responsible ownership and breeding of the Norwegian Forest Cat.

Protect the well-being of the Norwegian Forest Cat.

Provide information, education, and support to our members about the care, health, and breeding of the Norwegian Forest Cat.

Promote the Norwegian Forest Cat to the general public.
